Alden R. Morrill of Nashville, New Hampshire, along with Hiram Baldwin, holds patent no. 7,604 for a self-acting adjustable feed gear for drilling machines, issued August 27, 1850. Alden Morrill also holds patent no. 22,192 for a steam engine valve (1859) and 22,972 for a wheel for railroad cars (1859).
