Amos Morrill is found receiving a pension in 1835 for service in the Revolutionary War as a private in the Massachusetts Continental Line and Militia, aged 71. [6] Amos Morrill of Salisbury enlisted in the Revolutionary War four times between 1778 and 1780. He served under Col. Gerrish, Col. Wade, Col. Gerrish again, and Col. Shephard.
