The obituary of Benjamin Morrill reads, "At Deerfield, April 14, Mr. Benjamin Morrill, aged about 80. His last sickness was accompanied with great distress, (of seven weeks continuance,) which he bore with Christian patience and entire resignation. His mind was calm--his hope firm; that gospel, which he had experienced more than 40 years, was his only and sufficient support in death. His amiable widow and nine children deeply mourn their loss, while they rejoice in hope of his eternal gain. His remains were conveyed to Northwood, and interred in the Cemetary of his son Samuel, at whose house the funeral solemnities were performed. A very interesting and appropriate discourse was delivered by Elder Samuel Dyer, of Loudon, from Psalm xxviv 19." CHILDREN
