This family moved from Salisbury circa 1793, as no vital records are found there after the birth of William in 1792. The destination was Vienna, Maine, though it was known as Goshen until 1802. It is said that he named Vienna himself. Daniel Morrill of Salisbury was a Private in Capt. Moses Nowell's company, Col. Titcomb's regiment, serving 2 months 9 days in 1777. He reenlisted in 1779 and served four months with Capt. Jeremiah Putnam's company. [8] CHILDREN
William Morrill went to Ohio in 1829 and married there. [18]
