George Morrill enlisted as a Private on 13 October 1862 at the age of 34 in Company K, 28th Infantry Regiment Maine. He was "arrested" 1 December 1862 at Augusta, Maine. It is not clear from the records what this means, as he is also listed has transferring into Company E, 24th Infantry Regiment Maine on 11 November 1862 and mustering out on 25 August 1863. [13]
