[3]Joseph Warren Morrill, A History of the Morrill Family (Manuscript, NEHGS). This manuscript offers a 70-odd page biography of Elisha Knowles Morrill and his family. Elisha is quoted at length from his letters and notes. He grew up on a farm, attended the NH Converence Seminary beginning in 1846 to learn to be a teacher, and was subsequently a teacher for a number of years. In 1862, Elisha moved his family from Canaan to Iowa where he was a farmer.
