George P. Morrill of Canterbury, New Hampshire, received patent no. 207,671 for an improvement in the method of attaching tool heads such as hammers to the handle, issued September 3, 1878. George P. Morrill enlisted on August 19, 1964 as a private for one year in Company I, First Ohio Light Artillery. He was discharged June 13, 1865. [6] Additional information available.[7] CHILDREN
