George Willard Morrill attended Amherst College, 1861-63. He was a manufacturer of agricultural implements for the Windmill Manufacturing Company, Sterling Illinois, 1864-82. He then moved back to New York and was a patent examiner until his death at the age of 55. [2] George W. Morrill holds patent no. 92,740 for an improved spring bed frame, issued July 20, 1869.
