The death notice of Ezekiel Morrill reads as follows: "Died on his passage from Hispaniola to Philadelphia. Capt. Ezekiel Morrill of Amesbury. His reputation for every social virtue is so well established among Friends, that it needs no newspaper panegyrick. He was a good citizen, an honest man, and ever distinguished in the line of the militia as a brave officer and good soldier." [11]
