Mrs. Spencer claims the father of Hibbard was Timothy Morrill of Kittery. This conflicts, however, with both Hoyt and Morrill Kindred and S. Hampton Vital Records, who agree his parents are Nathaniel and Elizabeth (French) Morrill. Hibbard Morrill was a private in the New Hampshire Militia. He enlisted four times in the period between 1776 and 1781. He enlisted in 1776 and served three months in Col. Tash's New Hampshire Regiment, where he "guarded the tories" captured near Fishkill New York. He enlisted in 1777 and served three months in Col. Evans New Hampshire Regiment, receiving a gunshot wound in the chest at the battle of Stillwater on October 7, 1777. He was hospitalized in Albany for eight weeks and unable to work for another six months. He enlisted in again for three months in 1778, and one last time in the fall of 1779 for two months. CHILDREN
