The obituary of Nathan Morrill reads, "June 18th, Mr. Nathan Morrill jun. 31, of consumption: his dissolution was without a groan or struggle, and his last words were, 'Jesus can make a dying bed Feel soft as downy pillows are; While on his breast I lean my head, And breathe my life out sweetly there.' Through the whole of his sickness, he exhibited the strongest proofs of christian character, elevated piety and resignation to the Divine will: while in health he was a useful citizen, an affectionate husband and an ornament to the church."
