  • There are a very large number of buildings at Agricricultural colleges around the US named Morrill Hall in honor of Justin Smith Morrill. (Univ. Nebraska, Univ. Maryland, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, etc.)
  • Countless streets, avenues, and roads named Morrill.
  • There is a Morrill Creek in southern California. The Ortega Highway (State Route 74) crosses it.
  • At University of Illinois, there are the Morrill Plots, the oldest continously used agricultural research plots in existence. An alum in the NY area wrote a song about why the undergrad library was built underground because "you can't throw shade on the corn -- it'll die as sure as your born."
